Sitting selfies can be so hard to get right. While we are all about embracing our bodies and accept that sitting down = stomach rolls, we'd rather not draw attention to them.
Sitting selfies can also make your legs look short, and you can look super awkward if you aren't comfortable. Luckily, we've tried and tested all the best selfie poses to make sure that when you take a selfie sitting down, you still look fantastic and feel great.
1) Utilize triangles
When sitting down, you don't want to look too slumped, or you'll end up looking like a potato. Triangles are an appealing shape for our eyes because they are dynamic without being too perfect and symmetrical. Cross your legs or use your arms to create triangle shapes. Bringing one leg up (like in the photo below) turns your whole body into a triangle shape, which is easy to look at.

Alternatively, you can bring one leg forward to create a triangle-shaped gap, shown in the photo below.

2) To the side
If you want to look a little more put together, try sweeping both legs to one side. This will elongate your legs as well as stretching out any stomach roles. This is a cutesy look, which is great with a skirt or a dress.
3) Crouch down
If you want a more dynamic, on-the-go pose, try crouching instead of sitting. Make sure the leg at the front is stretched out, so you don't look too crumpled. This creates a line making your legs look super long. If you're someone who loves sports, leggings, and trainers, this look was made for you.
4) Super relaxed
If you want a more relaxed vibe, prop yourself up with one hand and stretch your legs out in front of you. This pose is great for a more chilled selfie. Make sure you take the picture at an angle to get the best shot of your waist. This works well if you're wearing trousers or leggings as it makes your legs look super long. Lean slightly back to avoid a bulging tummy, and you'll look cool as a cucumber.
